Before Dorothy was born, Derek would say, "Someday, I'm going to tell our daughter that she was named after a salad dressing."  She's not, really, but we do like Dorothy Lynch.

Copycat Dorothy Lynch Salad Dressing 11.29.11

Dorothy Lynch Salad Dressing Copycat Recipe

1 c. vegetable oil
1 c. sugar
1 can tomato soup
1/2 c. dark cider vinegar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
2 tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. celery seed
1 tsp. garlic powder

Blend all ingredients together.

Yield: approx. 3 cups

It doesn't taste exactly like the original, but we like it.  Some day I'll go to the trouble to figure out if it's any cheaper and/or healthier.
