Visitors

Today we were treated to some surprise visitors!  Mom and Dad made the drive all the way to our place just to spend the afternoon with us.  It was completely unexpected and so nice to get to spend time with them.  Of course, we put Mom to work right away.  

She is an excellent helper to Derek whenever there is work to be done.  Today, we put out extra straw to bed down the cows.  While we were out working we also noticed that Sella (our cow) was acting a little strange.  We may have just caught her at a bad time, because she seemed to snap out of it and was acting like her normal self again soon, but it was a good reminder to us to keep a close eye on her because she will likely have a calf born sometime in April.
