Over The River and Through the Woods

Ok, so normally we don't have to go over any rivers to get to Grandma Ardath's house, just a creek.  But the spring melt has the 12 Mile Creek that runs through her property over its banks, and over the road, so we had to take an alternative route to get there.  Despite the detour, we made it, and had a very nice visit yesterday.  Out in her flower beds, the crocuses were blooming - yay for spring!

  1. Ok, what is the plant that has purple and green shoots coming out of the ground behind it? We have some in the garden and I don't know what they are???

  3. Beth - We'll have to check with Grandma to be sure, but I think those plants coming up in the background are peonies.

Ruth - Yeah, it's a pretty good bet that we'll make the paper again :) Plus, Grandma reads the blog (Yes, she's a very hip grandma that does email and reads blogs), so now there might be extra pressure for us to make the news :)
